Just to remind everybody about EHI's awards officially closing this week. Recognition of individual and group innovation and their contribution to patient care.

Statement from EHI.

To coincide with the recent launch of EHI's Imaging Informatics channel we are now inviting entries for a specialist imaging informatics category at this year’s EHI Awards 2013, in association with CGI. The role imaging informatics plays in both image management and clinical care encourages exciting innovation in current practice, which this awards recognises. Such advances have enabled efficiency savings across many NHS Trusts.
The Award specifically highlights the outstanding work radiologists and their teams are doing every day. Do you have a project you’d like to shout about?
Judges will be looking for well-presented entries that:
• Demonstrate how the work contributes to improved patient care
• Show how the work improves the imaging informatics function by, for example, producing savings or increasing efficiency
• Says how the work could be more widely adopted.

The link for the category is .

For info from EHI

Due to overwhelming demand and in consideration of the recent bank holiday, the deadline for EHI Awards entries has been extended to this Friday 17 May at 16.00. There will be no extensions after this point.

If you ran out of time or are still considering entry, this is your second chance at glory! With a bigger venue and more categories this year, the EHI Awards 2013, in association with CGI is the occasion where UK healthcare IT sector rewards excellence.
