Dear Keith,

I would like to offer our site www.PACSnet.org.uk as a link.

PACSnet was established in the summer of 2001 and is part of the independent evaluation programme supported by the Medical Devices Agency (MDA) , an Executive Agency of the Department of Health.

Based in the Medical Physics Department of St George's Hospital in London, PACSnet provides independent technical evaluation of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and the components of such systems.

Information provided by PACSnet is intended to assist purchasers of PACS with their purchasing decisions, implementation and efficient use of their PACS.

Best Regards

Dewinder S Bhachu
Head of PACSnet

The RSNA site has important information regarding the IHE (Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise) initiative. There are introductory and detailed technical articles to be found at www.rsna.org/IHE This site is a good place to start exploring IHE

The hottest news on the NPfIT appears to come from e-Health Insider - often you will hear what is actually happening here faster than from the horses mouth.

Please all note that the new PACS pages of the NHS Connecting for Health website have recently gone live.

A QandA Section and an Implementation Tool Kit are to be added in the next few days.

The website is

Some of you may find this website interesting. www.teis.port.ac.uk
It is mainly for telemedicine (& videoconferening), but some sections are more specific to teleradiology.
