Dan Grimes - Health Sector Recruitment Specialist - Pacific International Recruitment
I'm currently doing a lot of work with the NPfIT NASP and LSP bidders and am speaking to a number of people with very good experience of implementation and development of PACS and RIS. I was however, wondering if anyone could offer more information as to the importance that these systems will play in the tender process. As far as I can gather there is a lot of time being spent by the bidders on EPR/EHR/PAS but one bidder (who shall remain nameless) has said that they are only asked to provide evidence of PACS providers and not actually outline solutions or integration strategies. Surely, I would have thought, with the final aim being Integrated Care Records it is essential that these details are addressed at the tender process. I'm also looking at where the requirements for people who have extensive experience with HL7 and DICOM will be. Any help would be much appreciated.
