We have a Misys RIS supplying Modality Worklist to many different modalities including Siemens, Philips, GE, XOGraph and Kodak, using CR,DR,US,CT,RF,XA.
When we order an exam for patients with non standard surnames (that is double barrelled or apostraphied names or those with 2 surnames with a space between them) it goes out with MWL to all relevant modalites except the Kodak CR and the Kodak DR. That is to say - a Chest XRAY exam will appear on all CR and DR worklists except our Kodak CR and our Kodak DR.
We've raised this with Kodak, who insist that everybody else is doing it wrong and they are doing it right. We've also raised the issue with our RIS supplier who, not surprisingly, point out that if only Kodak are getting this problem, then they need to change the way they handle the Patient Name field.
Has anybody experienced this problem? Is there a solution?

Hi, our site (Forth Valley in Scotland) has used Misys RIS successfully with Kodak CR Readers in the Acute site A/E Dept for a year - following your mail, I tested our system & we can display the patient name, Order details etc with no problems in Kodak CR Reader worklists - tested with Hairy Test-Bear. We find the relationship between Misys, PIM servers & Kodak for MWL is robust.
I'd suggest Kodak compare your set up with ours - same RIS, same CR supplier, different outcomes - buck stops with Kodak/Carestream. Good luck!
