Hi
We are in the implementation phase of Fuji RIS & PACS. MPPS is not integrated and failed to show the MPPS informations. I would like know the any institution is integrated MPPS with Fuji RIS &PACS? .

Thank you

Hi Siju,

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3046723/
Explains what MPPS is.

MPPS information, such as: Generated at the modality
•performed station
•performed start date and time
•performed end date and time
•performed procedure
•status
•discontinuation reason
Acquisition results, such as:
•operator's name
•references to the results
Radiation dose, such as:
•anatomic region
•time of exposure
•dose of exposure
Billing and material management:
•film consumption
•billing supplies and devices

From using the Fujifilm PACS, I do know that the following information IS transmitted from modality to PACS:
•performed station (station name)
•performed start date and time
•performed end date and time
•performed procedure
•status (exam started and exam completed)

The following information is input into RIS by our radiographers:
•discontinuation reason (Reason for cancellation)
Acquisition results, such as:
•operator's name
•references to the results (I dont know what this means)
Radiation dose, such as:
•anatomic region
•time of exposure
•dose of exposure
Billing and material management:
•film consumption
•billing supplies and devices

We have discussed at length about Radiation Dose --whether it should be transmitted in MPPS or as an DICOM SR object as per REM profile of IHE. It was considered that DICOM SR object as per REM profile of IHE was best suited for transmission of radiation dose.

Operator Name and Job-role, Reason for Cancellation, Consumables (contrast etc) is best input into RIS in my view--as radiographers use RIS to see scheduling information, any notes, clinical history etc on RIS anyway.

You need to decide what MPPS related DICOM tag information you wish to transfer from modality to PACS. For us this is found to be sufficient really
•performed station (station name)
•performed start date and time
•performed end date and time
•performed procedure
•status (exam started and exam completed)

Hi Neelam
Thanks you for the post

We have Ge centricity RIS & PACS.In this we are getting MPPS information like dose and number of exposure ,factors used etc. These informations are not inputing by technologist. Modality is transferring the information to MPPS server(refer the screen shot)
We are trying to include these in Fuji system also. The vendor is not confirmed that whether they wil be able to do or not.
