Imaging Department King Edward VII's Hospital London. Job Detail To manage the technical administration and user support for all electronic imaging systems e.g. the Radiology Information System (RIS), and Picture Archieve and Communication System (PACS), Mediweb Electronic Patient Requesting and will include other related systems as they are implemented. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the system upgrades are kept up to date and ensuring that the hospital keeps abreast of developments in London and nationally. The post holder will contribute to service process redesign and change management to maximise the benefits of the introduction of information technology and upgrades. JOB SUMMARY: Imaging systems provide the administration and image capture functionality to provide diagnostic images for clinical decision making or radiological reporting. The post holder will ensure that these systems contribute effectively to the imaging department’s service, ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures and are kept up to date with developments in the area. He/she will ensure images are available when required for patient management and monitor the systems to ensure it is fully functional and meeting performance standards. The post holder will train all users (including all hospital staff and external referrers) as well as liaise with suppliers.
